The Down To Earth Initiative has been working with Harvard’s Dr. David Shumway Jones on researching the impacts of air pollution on minority populations in the south. We have recently conducted research and written literature reviews that address Cancer Alley in Louisiana, how air pollution affects our lungs on a daily basis, the role of major corporations and factories in polluting our air, and the impacts of diesel exhaust on individuals with type 2 diabetes.
